Chanel Pre-Fall 2012

He did it once again. Mr. Lagerfeld, the genius behind a couple high-end brands as we all know. This time it was all about CHANEL. For the Pre-Fall 2012 Collection of Chanel, Karl took a whole different route to explore and he executed it very beautifully. Pause. Beyond beautiful. It was just TOO DARN GOOD TO BE REAL. The theme being "Paris-Bombay." The collection was a homage to the craftspeople that work in Chanel ateliers across Paris. The craftspeople that spend hours, and Hours, and HOURS to make intricately beautiful pieces that some people aren't even worthy of wearing. Silk being the fabric of the night, (for the most part at least) Karl did an amazing job bringing together the luxurious calm, settle feel that Chanel has and added Indian inspired elements such as sheer fabric draping and jeweled headpieces.  Using colours such as ivory, blacks, browns, and greys with hints of pink, blue, red and gold the entire collection seemed very fantasy-like. I personally find this to be the greatest Pre-Fall 2012 collection I have came across so far. My only issue? I just wish there were more pieces for men. Never mind, its Chanel.

Here are pictures from the collection...
