Kind of a bitter-sweet interview, but these pictures SOO make up for it. She's wearing everything from Ralph Lauren to Calvin Klein and of course BALMAIN!!! Hahh. You Gotta love her

My Favorite Looks From The Met Gala 2012

So this year, the biggest night in fashion highlighted the works of two past and present Italian designers. Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada. The Mets Spring 2012 Costume exhibition called "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" an exhibition which explores and features the works of these iconic fashion designers. The exhibition launched last night with The Met Gala ... and all your favorite celebrities from fashion to music were there to walk the red carpet and head inside to the exhibition. Luckily for us regular people, this was the first time in history, The Met Gala red carpet was live streamed on Vogue.com. I sat in front of my computer for 2 straight hours and watched the stars walk the carpet. Sooo worth it. I noticed the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Here are my top favorites from the red carpet ...

The Queen of Fashion, hahh, Anna Wintour stepped into the red carpet wearing a Prada dress with a gold lobster on it to pay homage to the late Elsa Schiaparelli. Only Ms. Wintour can make this work. Only her. :)

Lee Michele wore a DVF (Diane von Furstenberg) navy gown from the Fall 2012 collection. Glee stars really shined on the red carpet that night!

Beyonce Knowles looked HOT and BEAUTIFUL in this Haute Couture Givenchy dress. After giving birth just 5 months ago, this was Beyonce's first red carpet appearance ... and she killed it!!! Just AMAZING!!

Gwyneth Paltrow once again toke a big risk! She stepped into the red carpet wearing this Prada minidress. But she did look helllaa great!! I love her. OMG remember the Tom Ford gown and cape at the Oscars? SO unexpected from this lady, but she makes everything look good.

Solange Knowles hit the red carpet wearing this peplum canary-yellow Rachel Roy dress. She looked great. Definitely kept it simple yet very appealing.

Rooney Mara wore a black one-shoulder custom Givenchy gown. I'm always impressed with her picks. Remember the white Givenchy she had on at the Oscars?!

Diane Kruger wore a feather frock gown by Prada. Another feather piece that caught my attention. This looked perfect on her body.

Sofia Vergara wearing a silver lace Marchesa dress. And that smile ... you gotta Love her even more for that. Lol.

Carey Mulligan wearing a gold and silver halter-neck Prada dress. She looked great in that dress. But I'm not a fan of those shoes, just baghh.

Micky Ayoub & Pablo Contreras for WAD Magazine

Micky Ayoub and Pablo Contreras hit New York to shoot for WAD Magazine. With photographer Sam Nixon and stylist Rose Garcia, the end results were nothing but AMAZING!!! Love the contrast between the dark setting and the modern pieces with hints of colour. Gold chains, silk scarves and those boots! Oh.So.Fly.

Here are the pictures from the magazine ...

Chanel Pre-Fall 2012

He did it once again. Mr. Lagerfeld, the genius behind a couple high-end brands as we all know. This time it was all about CHANEL. For the Pre-Fall 2012 Collection of Chanel, Karl took a whole different route to explore and he executed it very beautifully. Pause. Beyond beautiful. It was just TOO DARN GOOD TO BE REAL. The theme being "Paris-Bombay." The collection was a homage to the craftspeople that work in Chanel ateliers across Paris. The craftspeople that spend hours, and Hours, and HOURS to make intricately beautiful pieces that some people aren't even worthy of wearing. Silk being the fabric of the night, (for the most part at least) Karl did an amazing job bringing together the luxurious calm, settle feel that Chanel has and added Indian inspired elements such as sheer fabric draping and jeweled headpieces.  Using colours such as ivory, blacks, browns, and greys with hints of pink, blue, red and gold the entire collection seemed very fantasy-like. I personally find this to be the greatest Pre-Fall 2012 collection I have came across so far. My only issue? I just wish there were more pieces for men. Never mind, its Chanel.

Here are pictures from the collection...
